Physical Activity Ranks High at Bolton School
It is obvious that math and literacy
teacher, Mr. Charles Worth, is passionate about sports. And, he passes
that passion and enthusiasm on to the students at Bolton School.
Flag Football
Flag Football involved forty sixth, seventh and eighth Grade students
from September 2004 through February 2005. Held at lunchtime, team
membership’s only requirements for playing are a physical form
filled out by the student’s doctor, permission from parents,
and the student’s maintaining good grades and behavior.
Basketball
Basketball is also available to sixth, seventh and eighth graders.
They also need a physical form from their doctor and parental
permission. They practice from 4 to 4:40 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday
and Friday. There are fifteen on the team, and Worth has arranged
several games with other Cleveland Municipal District schools.

Cheerleading
There are seven cheerleaders from the sixth, seventh and eighth
grades. Worth holds tryouts and encourages many students to practice
and audition. The cheerleaders meet from 4 to 4:40 p.m. on Tuesday
and Thursday.

Worth, who is a strong believer in encouragement,
gives a trophy at the end of the year to all forty participants of
Flag Football and Certificates and Trophies to the Basketball team
members and the Cheerleaders.
