A Welcome Letter to the Parents of Bolton School Students

Dear Parents, I’d like to welcome you and your child to Bolton School. It is the goal of all of us at Bolton to see to it that your child receives the very best education possible in an environment that is conducive to learning. Our staff is eager to ensure that we achieve that goal. We have been working diligently in preparing our school to be a warm and inviting place that allows for new and exciting learning experiences.

Our school time is as follows: breakfast begins at 9:10 a.m., classes begin at 9:30 a.m. and school ends at 3:50 p.m. We are ready and committed to providing a safe, supportive and positive environment where every child is able to grow and blossom into responsible, proficient learners with a quality education.

We remind you not to send your child to school early in the morning. No child may enter the building before 9:10 a.m. Supervision is not available before 9:10 a.m. Breakfast is served from 9:10 to 9:25 a.m. A child coming to school after 9:30 a.m. will not be served breakfast. Prompt pick up of children is expected. We have meetings, in-services and obligations after school. And cannot stay with your child. Children must be picked up at 3:50 p.m. If you are running late, please notify the school.

Children attending Bolton are expected to come to school well groomed and properly dressed. Bolton is a dress code school. We ask that you assume responsibility for your child being properly dressed. All students must be in uniform. We will call parents and ask you to bring a uniform for your student or take them home to put the uniform on. If the parents cannot be reached, we will have extra uniforms that we will ask your child to put on during school. Students are asked to be in dress code all five days. If for any reason you cannot get a uniform for your child, please let us know and we will work with you to secure one.

For our children to become successful individuals at home, in school, in the community and later in life, we must all work together. At Bolton, we look forward to working with you and your child this upcoming school year. I’m sure that if we all work together, this will be a great and successful year for your child.
